Kidnapped Ekiti Reverend Father freed

Reverend Father Emmanuel Akingbade, who is serving as the parish priest of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Ido-Ekiti has been freed without a ransom. He was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his residence last Tuesday, according to the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Reverend Felix Ajakaiye, who disclosed this in Ado Ekiti today June 16.

The police in the state confirmed his release on Tuesday morning, with the Public Realtions Officer of the state’s Police Command, Mr. Alberto Adeyemi, saying that he would give details of the development later.
