First Nigerian goalkeeper, Sam Ibiam dies at 90

The first Nigerian national team goalkeeper Sam Ibiam has passed away on Wednesday December 2 following a brief illness, family sources said Thursday. He was aged of 90.

Late Ibiam popularly known as ‘The Black Magnet’ or ‘The Cat’, played for the first Nigeria senior national team known as the Red Devils.
