Comedian and ‘Chappelle’s Show’ star Charlie Murphy is dead

Comedian and Eddie Murphy’s Brother Charlie Murphy died Wednesday in a New York City hospital after battling leukemia.

He was aged 57.

Charlie was a successful stand up comedian who notably co-starred on the Chappelle Show. He also co-wrote some of his brother Eddie Murphy‘s movies, and appeared in Are We There Yet, The Boondocks and Black Jesus.

Charlie leaves behind three children. His wife, Tisha Taylor Murphy passed away in 2009 due to complications associated with cancer.
