Donald Duke Reacts To Nigeria Air Suspension

Donald Duke Reacts To Nigeria Air Suspension A former governor of Cross River State and Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Donald Duke has reacted to the suspension of the planned national carrier, Nigeria Air, which was unveiled this year July 18 at the Farnborough Air Show in London.

On Wednesday, while addressing newsmen after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, said the decision to suspend the national carrier project, “has nothing to do with pressure from stake holders and it also not for political reasons”.

In his reaction on Twitter this morning Mr Duke wrote:

“FGN SUSPENDS NIGERIA AIR PROJECT

“This was ill-conceived and against the advise of several competent experts. What is the fate of about $55 million of taxpayers money purportedly spent on the airline? Are there penalties stipulated in the contracts?

“Buharinomics at its worst.”
